This project was a future scenario with a speculative disease, the possible treatment, and the social phenomenon. Except for the speculation of future heart disease, we also wanted to discuss the ethical issue of the organ trade in this project. Parts of the human in this speculative future are suffering from the Franz Adenovirus. And the organ trade becomes a solution for people to stay healthy. When it comes to a living problem, where do we draw the line morally as humans?
Until 2320, a heart disease called the Franz Adenovirus has taken numerous lives. In the aspect of society, it enlarges the gap between the rich and the poor. The rich people who don’t have the antibody can afford lots of money to survive when infected by the virus, while poor people can only die.
Interactive Exhibition
We designed an interactive exhibition to let the visitors experience both suppliers' and buyers' lives in the speculative future. We believe it was a good way for people to immerse themselves in the future scenario to think about the issue of future diseases and how people will behave.
